How many students appeared for UPSC 2023? Approximately 13 lakh students appeared for the UPSC prelims 2023 exam, out of which 14,624 got selected for Mains. UPSC exam is one of the toughest exams conducted by the Union Public Service Commission every year to recruit candidates for the posts of IPS, IAS, IFS, IRS, and rest 20 civil services. The Prelims exam was conducted on 28th May 2023 and selected candidates will appear in the Mains paper from  15th September 2023.
